Shannon Macaulay, RSW

Shannon was born and raised here in our community. She spent her twenties travelling the country and the world. These experiences as well as some of her own life stories led Shannon to want to work with others and help them heal themselves.

Shannon is a registered social worker, a teacher and her most favourite, a mother.

Shannon believes that we all deserve a safe space where our stories can be heard, held and validated.
Shannon brings a warmth and compassion to her work, that helps to create an environment ideal for personal healing and growth.

Using mindfulness based awareness, CBT, storytelling, and a variety of other methodologies, Shannon has a wealth of knowledge and insight to help each person find their way.

Shannon helps people with issues around self love and compassion, working through trauma that could have occurred in childhood or at any point in life.
Learning how to adopt loving and healthy belief systems, boundary setting , relationships challenges, separation and divorce, intimate partner violence, and parenting issues.

Shannon has a passion for maternal mental health as well, and also works with children ages 8 and up with a focus on self esteem building, stress and anxiety management and learning how to love yourself from an early age.

Shannon see’s folks in person in the office, and under trees. Shannon also provides virtual and telephone sessions as well.
